Who is NCPGA?

The North Carolina Peanut Growers Association (NCPGA) represents nearly 650 peanut growers across North Carolina. Nationally the state ranks third in peanut production, and over 30% of the state's 100 counties produce more than 250,000 tons of peanuts annually. The Association is funded by a voluntary grower assessment of their annual crop. Formed in 1953, the Association is governed by a board of grower members, nine of whom comprise the executive committee.

The association's purpose is to represent North Carolina peanut growers through marketing efforts to promote the consumption of Virginia-type peanuts, support research that increases producer yields and profitability, and act as an advocate for the grower at the state and national levels.
